Aim. Is to qualify Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) as Cadet Force Skill at Arms Instructors in order to meet the requirements of the Cadet Forces.
Qualification. Successful completion of the course qualifies CFAVs as Cadet Force SAA Instructors (CF SAAI). It gives ACF SIs eligibility for promotion to SSI and SSIs eligibility for promotion to SMI.
Course Outline. The course is 5 days long and concentrates on the techniques and planning required to successfully deliver Skill At Arms training. This includes looking at the training cycle, planning and preparing for SAA lessons, formal instruction of rifle lessons 1, 3, 5 and 9 including train the trainer points, and a minimum of 3 assessed teaching practices. These teaching practices can be on any rifle lesson 1-9 so prior experience is required.

- Rehearse SAA lessons 1-9 and relevant subject matter under the supervision of a qualified SAAI
Courses. In 2017/18 there will be 9 courses with places for 40 students on each course.
