Mission. Is to qualify Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) as Exercise Planning and Conducting Officers for Cadet Force exercises using Blank Ammunition and Pyrotechnics.
Qualification. Successful completion of the course awards the SA(M)(07)Cadet qualification.
Eligibility. Candidates must have attended the Adult Induction Course (AIC) or CCF Basic
Pre Course Requirements. Candidates must hold an in date (valid for the duration of the course) Weapon Handling Test (WHT) certificate on the: L98A2 Cadet GP Rifle; L72/L83/L132A1 Grenade Hand Smoke Screening; L35A1 Simulator Battle Sound (SBS); . This must also be recorded within Qualifications on Westminster (Students who are flagged on Westminster indicating that their WHT is not current at 2 weeks prior to their course start date will be subject to rejection off the course).
CFAVs should be IT literate, especially with Microsoft Word. This is a physically arduous and mentally demanding course. CFAVs will be expected to participate in up to eight Battle Exercises per day for two days and should arrive adequately prepared, both in knowledge and skill, and have a basic level of physical fitness.
Closing Date for Applications. Closing dates on WESTMINSTER will be least 8 weeks prior to the start of every course.
